Dream Act (2011) was produced in Street-Level's after-school video production workshop at Juarez High School in Pilsen. As the filmmaker describes, the story is based on an undocumented student who does not give up on school, while another student with legal status takes her education for granted. The director mixes narrative storytelling with documentary footage to emphasize that "undocumented students should not give up, they just have to try harder."
