Street-Level Youth Media is a non-profit, media arts literacy organization serving Chicago's youth.  We teach audio engineering, mixing, video production, digital photography, online journalism, and more.  If you are between the ages of 12 through 24, all of our programs and services are free.

If you live in Chicago and are between 12 - 24 years old, come take part in one or all of our media arts programs, book a private studio session, use our computer lab or join one of our clubs.  We also host an open-mic on the first Friday of each month.

Street-Level at Chicago City of Learning Showcase

Thursday, August 14th at the Chicago Cultural Center, from 11am - 4pm.

CCOL’s Destination: Chicago - Summer Showcase is a three-part event that will recognize their achievements and expose them to other opportunities.

1) The Maker Party will be held from 11am until 2:45pm. CCOL partner organizations will host a variety of maker stations, where instructors and youth who have taken their programs can walk attendees through hands-on activities.

2) The Gallery will display the work of youth who have participated in summer programs held by CCOL partner organizations citywide. Lasting from 11am until 2:45pm, it will resemble a science fair, but the artifacts exhibited will reflect learning that has happened in several different areas of interest.

3) The Performance Series will be held from 3 to 4pm. Youth who have gained performance skills over the summer through programs offered by CCOL organizations will let them shine on stage with dance, spoken word, music, a fashion show and more.
