View Street-Level Youth Media in a larger map School PartnershipsStreet-Level works with several Chicago Public Schools each year to provide integrated media arts programs in the classroom. Partnerships have been established with science, language arts, visual arts, hearing impaired and bilingual classrooms to create videos, animations and multimedia installations. As part of the program, Street-Level offers collaborating teachers hands-on exploration of various multimedia for their use in the classroom. Street-Level also partners with CAPE (Community Arts Partnerships in Education) to provide a series of workshops for teachers who want to use multimedia in the classroom for documentation and presentation of youth work. Community PartnershipsAs a leader in the youth media arts field, Street-Level is strongly committed to fostering innovative media arts curricula in new and existing community technology centers. Street-Level also partners with youth programs and community-based organizations across the city of Chicago, facilitating the incorporation of media art making and technology programming into their sites. Street-Level assesses the technological needs and interests of each community partner and works with them individually to develop creative, supportive, and productive programs and educational environments for young people. 2009 Partners ListAcademy of Communication and Technology Charter School |
